I notice that the thumb-pad on my notebook doesn't respond at all to my touch/fingers. How do I "ACTIVATE/ENABLE" the thumbpad so that I do not have to use/plug in an external mouse for the pointer to move freely around? STEP-BY-STEP instructions please? Thnkx :-)

For cetain laptops, they have a hot key, for example my Acer uses (Fn + F7) to toggle the touchpad. Some laptops like Compaq have a button on around the touchpad to toggle. If this does not work for you, you can try reinstall the touchpad driver or send to your service center as it might be hardware problem.
