Watching television over the Internet
19 February 2008Internet television (commonly referred to by the acronym IPTV) is different from normal broadcast TV in that television content is received by the consumer via a computer network based on the Internet Protocol (IP). An example of an IPTV service is SingTel's Mio TV which runs on a secure IP network set up by the telco for this purpose.
